Diabetes Education and Support

Sutter Coast Hospital facilitates monthly Diabetes Education and Support sessions for anyone interested in Diabetes Management.

Topics include Carbohydrate Counting and Meal Planning, Heart Healthy Diet, Super Market Savvy, Diabetes Medications, Eye Care, Foot Care and Shoes for Diabetics, Diabetic Neuropathies, Sleep Apnea, Changes in Medicare Reimbursement for Diabetes, Skin and Wound Care, Cooking Demonstrations, Weight Management, and Exercise / Stress Management.

Our speakers have included pharmacists, ophthalmologists, urologists, internists, podiatrists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, social workers, culinary professionals, registered dietitians and registered nurses.

The classes are offered on the third Monday of each month from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Del Norte Senior Center, located at 1765 Northcrest Drive, Crescent City, CA.
